    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Luminex full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company is growing and constantly changing which is great to provide opportunities for people that can prove their worth. Great technology.

    Cons

Lack of structure or processes when it comes to marketing of new products. People that have 'grown up' in the company do not have a global perspective and can get stale in their problem solving approaches. Constant organizational changes can be unsettling to people that like to feel stability in their job.

    Advice to Management

Diversify! This place is a 'good old boy club'.

    Pros

Senior mgmt is paid well above market average.

    Cons

For a company so small, they are very top heavy and VPs are paid extravagantly in salaries, bonuses, and stock options. It's a mystery how they can justify to have so many VPs considering their sales numbers are so small by comparison. It's a good old boys club, and so there is not career advancement unless you are in the club. They think they are a progressive and innovative company, but they will soon be losing... vast amounts of market share to newer technologies. It's amazing they have kept the investment community so intrigued for so long and managed to keep their stock price up.

    Advice to Management

Have you walked around the company- every cubicle, every little nook and corner, and really asked if your employees like working for you or in the oppressive culture? Have you looked at why you have had a high turnover of some top caliber people in the past 5 years? Have you thought about anything besides your self? Have you ever heard of Servant based leadership?
