I worked at Luther Auto full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I do not have any positives to state about this company. Negative experience. Bad management, employees, benefits, and bad system overall.

    Cons

The management is terrible and does not care about your work/life balance, and they most definitely do not care about your health. They disobeyed my doctors note even though I have a life threatening condition, were dishonest during interview, and paid me significantly less than everyone else.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. Health comes first. Hopkins needs a management makeover.

I worked at Luther Auto full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent and they work with you if you need specific days off. They're closed on Sundays so you have sundays off guaranteed.

    Cons

There's a lot of gossip between co workers. Everyone complains a lot and doesn't want to work and will sit back and allow one person to do everything while the rest hide in back gossiping. They don't really train you in, they just kind of expect you to figure things out. The managers hang out with employees outside of work which leads to stronger friendships and essentially even more unfair/biased management.

    Advice to Management

It's not fair to treat coworkers you're "friends" with better than new employees or more introverted employees. I cried every single day on the job my last month before i was picked as the person they chose to lay off even though I had the best customer reviews because many customers would notice and tell me and the managers how I was the only one working and I went through a line full of people while coworkers sat to the side laughing, talking, and eating snacks. This was the most stressful job I have ever had.

I have been working at Luther Auto full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A true family atmosphere. We're all part of a team throughout the thirty-something dealerships. I love seeing the growth and success of the dealership group.

    Cons

Older employees are having a hard time keeping up with the changing times. Older, higher paid employees doing bare minimum to get by.

    Advice to Management

I would take a serious look at who in the departments are doing the work and start compensating accordingly. Just because an employee has been there longer, does not mean they are the most qualified.

I worked at Luther Auto full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff is very friendly and willing too help. They offer holiday bonus. The job was close to my home.

    Cons

Management team was very poor from the GM down to department managers. Company politics were always happening which made favorites. Pay was below industry level and benefits were subpar.

    Advice to Management

Do not mislead your employees. Worked for two months and was disappointed as my job drastically changed in that time period hence why I left. I gave my two weeks and was let go immediately. Management didn't even ask why I wanted to leave. They promised and lied from the interview until my last day.

    Cons

Sometimes there isn't clear communication between co-workers so it makes getting some jobs done a little difficult but it was very rare.
