    Advice to Management

Get back to the 5 principals. We seem to be focusing too much on some and not enough on the others.

    I worked at Lutron full-time

    Pros

Great co-workers and decent entry level pay.

    Cons

Work can be monotonous and management will constantly ask you to work on weekends.

    Advice to Management

Create better proccess that will ensure efficiency and allow the company to meet it's goals during the stated working days when you start (M-F) or advertise working weekends when hiring new employees. Also, pay scale and promotions should not be standardized because some deserve more and a 50 cent raise isn't acceptable for everyone. Finally, hire good full-time people and take care of them and stop rotating through temps to meet demand!

I have been working at Lutron full-time

    Pros

The people are really bright and super helpful. They want to see Lutron succeed. Very understanding about personal life.

    Cons

Management or lack thereof. The only way you get put into a management position or more senior position is if you've been there 20+ years. Which, promoting somebody based on tenure and not ability is never a good thing. None of these "managers" are on the same page so make sure you cover your butt.

Also they claim they are an innovative company, but that only applies to their product. They do not have remote work, flex scheduling, casual dress, etc.

Finally they claim they take care of the employee, but honestly the pay is below average and the benefits are average to below average.

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to what your employees say and maybe read an email every now and then. We should not have to spoon feed you information you already have in 10 different emails.

    I worked at Lutron full-time

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Good for a long-term career, if a conservative corporate culture lacking passion, energy, and creativity is for you.

    Cons

Very typical corporate culture. Not progressive. Stuck behind the times.
