    Pros

Paid vacation, a fun environment and steady raises. Most days are pretty enjoyable and management does not micro manage. Friendly coworker.

    Cons

Stubborn upper level management. It is hard to get anything changed even if it is not working. Very old school in terms of operations and change.

I have been working at Lutron full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work environment is growth oriented, and that appealed to me a lot.
    Great training
Great people; I'll be maintaining friendships after I leave for sure.
    Empowering management.

    Cons

    Low pay scale.
They know they are a spring-board company for college grads.

    Advice to Management

Your system works for younger, traditional college grads as employees . But the alternative college grads may require a higher pay rate to stay longer than a year.

I worked at Lutron as an intern

    Pros

They place a lot of responsibility of young people in their organization, but provide the support system to help you improve if you rise to the challenge. Lutron also has a great culture. It is almost as though they are a family. Everyone takes responsibility for the company culture, and you can feel the bond of being a Lutron employee. The upper management keeps everyone informed of how the company is doing with quarterly updates. This gives a clear picture of the direction of the company so everyone from the CEO to the hourly worker is on the same page.

    Cons

Due to the amount of responsibility and amount of information to absorb, it can be overwhelming and a little stressful.

I have been working at Lutron full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great family atmosphere, fun products to work on. Able to transition to other roles within the company. While there's a perception that the "culture" limits employee's abilities to get things done, I've found that you can pretty much take on whatever you think makes sense.

No layoffs in company history - stable employment environment

    Cons

Sometimes process slows us down and makes it harder to move as fast as we should.
