I have been working at Luxasia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Passionate People (and good-hearted / good-natured ones aplenty). Great team work and team spirit. An ambitious journey to revolutionize beauty distribution and online-and-offline selling of beauty products. Transformation in-progress. Compelling Vision. Comprehensive Strategy. A lot being done to improve all aspects of the company. It takes serious courage to undertake a Transformation of this scale.

    Cons

Not for the faint-hearted, not for the "easily bruised", not for the easily discouraged. Work can get demanding and tough. It is in the midst of Transformation - many things to be improved.
Work-life balance is expected to take a hit - need to sink in hard work to achieve the Vision / Mission.

    Advice to Management

    The critical success factors are:
    Execution excellence
Open honest calling out of mistakes - so that we can all learn and not repeat them
Open communication - nothing should be so "taboo" that we cannot talk about them
People - Need to value People. Not just in compensation / rewards but in everyday encouragement, positive words, and in giving special mention to People who delivered beyond their call of duty.

I have been working at Luxasia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

99% of people are nice, 1% are insane - get into the right department.

Firm is expanding, getting a role is not difficult.

Firm is willing to spend - on welfare & training, but you have to ask

    Cons

14 Leave days - wayyyyy below any sort of industry average

Pay is always lowballed - so NEGOTIATE UP

That insane 1% is likely going to be your boss

    Advice to Management

Directions switch rapidly, without explanation, leading to comployee confusion.

Be discplined in chasing pre-set targets - refrain from chasing every colourful butterfly that flies by

I worked at Luxasia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Extremely goo training ground for people who are just starting out in their career. Lots of training opportunities, turnover is high hence, it common that you will be double, triple hatting at a given time.

    Cons

Senior leader lack respect toward employees. Its an environment where if you don't perform then out you go.

    Advice to Management

If you want employees to live the company values, make sure you live them yourself first.

I have been working at Luxasia full-time

    Pros

    1. Full of opportunities
    2. Colleagues are generally helpful and friendly
    3. Considered a company with good working environment and culture

    Cons

    1. Too many changes in a short period of time
    2. Some higher management seems to be only academically capable / resume-impressive, esp if they had no prior retail experience
    3. Not much work life balance

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people working, not just the management who may say what needs to be heard

I worked at Luxasia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Internal company sales when brands are trying to clear products
Exposure to different areas due to heavy workload.

    Cons

It's a very hierarchical organization in which everyone's status is clearly defined.
Management style can be very biased and one-sided, workplace politics lead to power struggle and conflicts.
Turnover rate is high and almost everyone is doing the work of 2-3 people.
OT is perceived as the norm, not a healthy environment for work life balance.
Low remuneration package for the amount of work and long working hours.

I have been working at Luxasia full-time

    Pros

If you believe in being spoon-fed, working 9-5 and having a simple job - then Luxasia is not the place to work

The organization empowers us to do what is right and move the needle : If that's what gets you out of bed in the morning , you're interested in Beauty , digital , retail and engaging the consumer of today - it's the place to be

    Cons

As spider - man once said :) - with great power comes great responsibility
At Luxasia you have to lead, take responsibility and be multi-dimensional / multi-faceted in order to drive business - else it could weigh you down

    Advice to Management

    Keep prioritizing
