I worked at Luxoft full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - growing - ordinary performers and HRs are friendly - good, modern offices - supports relocation. The very good mean of transport to our precious EU. - don't fire people. Good place for low performers. - brown-nosers could get promoted very fast

    Cons

    - forget about agile - low diversity, most people come from Russia/Ukraine. If you're not a Russian speaker you'll feel like an alien there - politics. Company culture promotes managers who take all credits for work done and pushes all responsibility for any negative outcome down. Classical automotive enterprise. - this is an outsourcing company, which means you don't have rock stars here (they cost too much) to learn from. You also act as if you're a second-class employee of your customer, not like an employee of Luxoft. - no long-play, managers are driven by short term goals. Mostly profitability. They like to cut budgets for staffing, hardware, and software. - a lot of managers, who shall never work with people - if you're a high-performer, your work-life balance will suck

I have been working at Luxoft full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I worked in Luxoft for more than 4 years but had to leave when my project finished. Unfortunately at that moment I could not find the position I wanted within Luxoft. Only when I got the job in another company I realized how much I missed Luxoft's corporate culture, values and learning opportunities. A year later I was able to return to Luxoft. And I was pleasantly surprised how the company progressed in the development of corporate services. Many new initiatives have been introduced to improve internal collboration of people and processes. Here are the pros which are the most remarkable for me: 1) Skilled colleagues 2) Great opportunities to learn, to develop your skills. 3) Large customers, especially in the financial and automotive industries 4) Flexible work and life balance

    Cons

Luxoft sometimes suffers from its positive reputation. There are people who come to the company with too high expectations - they think that all opportunities will be handed to them on a silver platter. Nobody will force you to do something or to hold on you if you do not want it. In this regard, Luxoft is an ordinary big outsourcing company, with salaries slightly below the market - just as it is. The employee is still self responsible how to take advantage of the provided opportunities - like internal mobility and relocation, or wide range of internal courses. For instance, the company cannot garantee that after a year spent in it, the employee will be relocated to desired country, to the desired position and with the desired conditions. Here are the cons which are the most remarkable for me: 1) salary slightly below the market level 2) your satisfaction largely depends on the conditions within the customer’s project 3) compared to other companies, Luxoft does not yet have a so-called "spare bench" for employees who are temporarily sitting without a project. Luxoft's internal mobility has limited terms which are not always enough to find a suitable project. Despite these shortcomings, Luxoft is still a great place to work for me.

I have been working at Luxoft full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Multiple courses to improve technical and soft skills. Internal mobility to move vertically or horizontally between positions among projects and countries.

    Cons

Outsourcing company that has multiple projects but not ownership so there are some corresponding frustrations. The PM usually dictates the work mood, due to smaller teams per project, so depends on luck if you get a good one.

I worked at Luxoft full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They have lots of banking projects, perfect for people who love numbers, digits and lack of UI. Good relocation support, medical insurance.

    Cons

For the project i worked on, it was impossible to develop profesionally - all the communication and release steps are on BA-s, QA automation is encouraged as a learning activity only- no practical use. As in each outsourcing company - customer is at the forefront
