I worked at Luxor Hotel and Casino part-time

    Pros

I want to learn more about costumer service, how to serve the costumer so that they come back again to the hotel.

    Cons

I did not be able to communicate to my training supervisor , because unfortunately i could not speak Spanish, so they could not understand English so it create for me uncomfortable atmosphere. Again unfortunately my boss told me we don't have any other position in hotel for you, this was my reason tat I resign.

    Advice to Management

My advise is they should crate a atmosphere to help the training to understand the communication between the instructor and trainer. So they can work and become a positive and productive employees for hotel and establish the good team work .

I have been working at Luxor Hotel and Casino part-time

    Pros

Luxor has good pay and you can make a decent amount on commission from upgrades and late check outs.

    Cons

A lot of the guest are rude because the property's rates are so low.

    Advice to Management

Management is great but the new higher ups needs to calm down...they came in changing everything without knowing why the property does certain things a certain way.

I worked at Luxor Hotel and Casino part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You have a chance to make great money. When you go above and beyond, it is noticed.

    Cons

Working the On Call list/board is hard on anyone. I have kids and a husband and being available at any given moment can get challenging. 75% of my shifts I had only 2-3 hours notice beforehand.
