I have been working at Luxottica full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Managing a high volume store definitely pays out.
    Benefit package
Better than average tools for recruiting and hiring

    Cons

Too many Senior Management Changes in the last 3-5 years.
Directives sometimes come suddenly and out of the blue with very little time to execute
Very little product turnover with nothing new in the future
Sacrifice quality of life of associates to reach goals
Very little concern from upper management about associates personal lives as long as company objectives are met.
Never consults with associates in the field, the ones working with the public, who know what people want , on new product lines, or how a particular product is working, etc.

    Advice to Management

I understand that ultimately a company must turn a profit to continue to operate. It’s the associates and team members who bring the money in. I’ve heard of companies that put their associates first. Companies that spend their own money to keep their associates happy, like Google and Apple. This is not one of those companies. Investing in your people will ultimately bring every company the success and fortune every company wants. That’s the key; the company will actually have to spend money to make money, not cut corners to save money.
I dream of working for a company that sees me as a business partner and cares as much about me as Google and Apple care about their employees.

I have been working at Luxottica full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get benefits, easy but tedious work, plenty of OT during busy months.

    Cons

The management. There are 1 or 2 that will actually work with you but the other 8 managers/ supervisors..... just, no. Their turnover rate is also ridiculous on every level which says a lot.

    Advice to Management

Hire supervisors that actually know about optical & don't mind getting their hands dirty w/ us when we're short staffed or things are going wrong. Also, LISTEN to your employees that work the floor everyday. There's a lot of knowledge there but you all don't tap into it because you'd rather listen to the same 2 people that haven't processed anything but paperwork since you changed the physical process 23x ago.
