I worked at Lyft (More than a year)

    Pros

Most Passengers are nice. You can get tips on Lyft over Uber where you dont get any.

    Cons

Most passengers do not tip. The company didnt really make me feel like i was very important to them.

I worked at Lyft (More than a year)

    Pros

You can work your own schedule which is a plus if your a college student or you have other things you need to work on. When I started I made decent money, but that slowly dwindled.

    Cons

You don't make very much money because there's so many people on the road. You compete with other drivers avidly to get someone in a location that you have to be close to otherwise someone else gets the job

    Advice to Management

work on limiting the schedule because there were far too many people that were on the road, and no way to really make any money.

    Pros

I can't stress enough how helpful Lyft has been when I need it. It is perfect to fit around any busy schedule, and it does have the resources in place to make any driver really decent money. Using the print materials and getting out during slow periods to market for new passengers has great long-term returns. Driving and meeting passengers is a great way to network for clients or a new job. Lyft is a bridge that provides dignity and opportunity much better than the unemployment office. For the young and eager, it is a dream job. I'm glad to be part of this trend in employment.

    Cons

Lack of benefits for Drivers. I know it is necessary to keep the Independent Contractor system functional,

    Advice to Management

Find a way to bridge between having all Independent Contractors and also having some Key Drivers in every region that are employees and invested in a consistent relationship with Lyft and the community. I guarantee the effort drivers put in knowing they could reach a better level would make the experience for everyone better. Pax would love the service, Uber would lose market share. There has to be some work-around to get "job advancement" as a benefit to working with Lyft.

I have been working at Lyft as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Love the people I work with

    Cons

The longer I work here the less money I make because they keep lowering their prices. This is the only job I have ever had where they dont give you raises instead they cut your pay and you work longer hours.

    Advice to Management

Come to an agreement with the competitor and bring all prices back up so your drivers can make a livable wage and your passengers will feel more comfortable with company practes. I have been hearing from passengers that they are thinking about not using ride sharing any more because the companies are not paying their drivers a fair wage. STOP WITH THE PRICE WARS AND COME TO A TRUCE. All your drivers will be happy and your quality of service will go back up.

I have been working at Lyft (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, potential to make a lot of money, not just by driving, but referrals, guaranteed hours could be better, and if you are a mentor there is an extra income.

    Cons

There is no benefits, you drive your own car, therefore you have to pay for gas, maintenance and everything else. if there are a lot of drivers on the road, you get less fare.

    Advice to Management

Focus on adding more passengers than drivers, so you can retain the drivers you acquired thru signup bonus, since most of then signup just for the bonus and after completing the ride they leave to competitors complaining it's not busy.

I have been working at Lyft (More than a year)

    Pros

You can make extra money anytime you want. I was a student when I started and it was a perfect part time job. Commission free income if you work more hours.

    Cons

Stressful at times. The earnings is not certain. Its not possible to predict the money you make on a certain day.

    Advice to Management

Needs to recruit more drivers and promote to have more riders to compete with Uber. The type of passengers is changing rapidly, more Uber-like passengers.

    Pros

    Flexible
    Easy
    Relaxing

    Great ROI
    Awesome company
...you get out what you put in. This company is amazing!

    Cons

The only negative I can think of is the fact you have nothin to complain about. Where else can you pace at $60k a year part time? I do this in addition to my full time "day" job.
