I have been working at Mölnlycke full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Growing company, profitable, new factory

    Cons

Since a new Site Director was appointed late last year the culture changed significantly and for the worse and a significant number of people have since chosen to leave the factory and go to other companies to work. Current Site Director has very poor people management skills, micro manages and is only interested in promoting himself.

    Advice to Management

When will the number of people leaving the site result in something being done?

I have been working at Mölnlycke full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small office with local production, nice and supportive people to work with in their updated facility.

I worked at Mölnlycke full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company with an aggressive growth plan. Flexible remote work policy. Opportunity to take on a variety of challenges.

    Cons

Lack of follow-through with stated values and goals. Too slow to get rid of under-performing or obstructive employees. Reward for high performers is more work for the same pay, no plan for advancing or challenging people who are ready. Management not open to constructive discussion that challenges preconceptions.

    Advice to Management

I left because the new management structure could not offer me clear direction, opportunities for growth, or even respond to half of my questions. Fix those issues and you will attract and retain high performers. Respect means as much as money - when you make promises to employees, keep them.

I worked at Mölnlycke (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Absolutely loved the people here! Such a great group of genuinely nice people. Most top level executives have an open door policy. I was one of the people who knew everyone, and could easily have a non-work related conversation. The pay was okay, and benefits were very generous.

    Cons

Turnover was always a concern for me. Why are so many people leaving so often? As my position goes, I felt as if my skills were not properly matched with my job. My workload felt elementary in comparison to what I knew I was capable of. I think that me being great at the job hindered me from advancement because of the comfort management received knowing that there was nothing to really manage. There were talks of plans for advancement, but no real training or opportunity to get me there. That's what ended up easing me out of the door.

    Advice to Management

Bridge the gap between employee strengths and what the business actually needs. Know your employees well enough to know when they're not happy. Active training and encouragement is something that I expect from management year round, and I challenge you all to do a better job of that. Delegation and belittling (intentional or unintentional) are not effective ways of managing.
