I have been working at M/C Communications full-time

    Pros

Opportunity to meet great friends and have an after work life, lenient with WFH and summer office hours

    Cons

Extremely hard to move up the ladder, young company that hires a lot of recent graduates that contribute to the immaturity of the company

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees, conduct surveys, rewarding employees verbally doesn't always cut it

    I worked at M/C Communications full-time

    Pros

Learned a lot in the role. Nice colleagues.

    Cons

Management team was young. Organization seemed a little disjointed. For example, would hire people and then do restructure and lay-offs year over year.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps issue is resolved since it's been a while. Set a long-term strategic plan in place, rather than hire people from other jobs only to lay them off a year later.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Ok money but a lot of hours, very interesting learning all aspects of the CATV industry.

    Cons

long hours the supervisors dump work on you that you have to complete because the customer would be screaming at them. had to work weekends and a lot of stand by time. lots of favortism

    Advice to Management

my advise is to start doing your jobs and stop living in the 90's. your supervisors are not qualified since the only reason they became supervisors was because they couldn't make it in the field.

I worked at M/C Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a so-called pay check. They do supply you with cable tools and other supplies. Four day workweeks and three days off.

    Cons

Upper Management does NOT know what they are doing. A huge lack of communication between upper management and supervisor's. They will tell you anything just so they can get your mind off the subject. After little training, you are then left to your own. RUN AWAY!!!!!VERY FAST!!!

    Advice to Management

    Train your employees much better.

    Pros

This place was a great place to work a few years ago under the founder, once sold, the org has rapidly slid downward.

    Cons

there is so much downward momemtun that people are no longer motivated to work productively.

    Advice to Management

mgmt needs to get head out of sand.
