I have been working at M+W Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They get it, and are bringing in the people to change it. Pay and benefits are great. There really are good people that want to make a change. It's finally happening.

    Cons

    Progress is slow, but happening

I have been working at M+W Group

    Pros

Pay is good, that's about it.

    Cons

Absolutely no respect from management for the employees. Seemingly without a clue on getting more work. Quite a few of the best people have left, and there doesn't seem to be any concern from management.

    Advice to Management

Your resignations might help to turn things around

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at M+W Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Company has strong potential and opportunity to develop growth. Training, benefits and compensation was impressive.

    Cons

By the Office / Company continuing to rely primarily on one customer they ignore or otherwise refuse to look at markets other than their primary customers market. Inexperience field experience which reflected in poor or otherwise outdated designs and implementation that resulted in conflicts with customers budgets and expectations.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to learn employees backgrounds and the areas of their expertise. Personally attempted many times to no avail to introduce M&W to BMW North America Manufacturing facility through my 12 year tier 1 vendor relationship where I served as a lead designer and installation manager.

    Pros

    Good work life balance, compensation

    Cons

Slow moving parts Hesitate to embrace change or progress "we've always done it this way" Required to use your own PTO to cover the week the offices close between Christmas and New Years

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes or you'll keep hemorrhaging talented employees

I worked at M+W Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good office locations throughout the US.

    Cons

Willing to cut employees "off at the knees" with no regard to prior performance or loyalty to the company or project accomplishments. If you are in the right "clique", or know the right person, then you (might) be fine. Otherwise , watch your back.

    Advice to Management

HR is riddled with incompetency. To help cover for this, gossip and passive agressive behavior from the HR Management Team is the rampant.

I have been working at M+W Group full-time

    Pros

There are quite a few large high profile clients around the world.

    Cons

Bonuses and raises are non-existent. Benefits are just so so.

    Advice to Management

Be more forthcoming about bonuses and raises. If they aren't coming...let us know rather than never bringing up the topic.

I have been working at M+W Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Used to be a lot but these days there just are none.

    Cons

The worst untalented management staff They promote only the friends of the CEO The CEO failed at being a CEO once left the company got fired at another company came back and is worse than ever They treat the employees like tools and not like people. I could on about just how bad the company is but my advice is to stay far far away

    Advice to Management

Resign for the benefit of the company. If you cant do that then sell the company and let people that want to run things properly take over.

I worked at M+W Group full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

There are no positive things to say

    Cons

Where do I start? - No communication from Management on critical items like bonuses (none for last 2 years); merit increases (no communication at all, only select few got merits); what's going on in the company. -All the good people (A players are gone). -They constantly promote the wrong people, if you get demoted from a project you become a Director, if your department is disbanded and you are potentially out... of a job you become a Director, if you are buddies with VPs you become a Director; if you cry because you want to move from east coast to west coast you become a Director - Recent voluntary departures of PM/DM who saved critical project in Rocky Mtn NW and was respected by Construction and Design; BD Lead who won many proposal efforts; Lead BD/Director for DataCenters all got fed up and moved on. -Software and hardware applications are pathetic. -No more A players left who Top 100 clients respected. -Do not promote the resources who made them money and executed projects successfully. -Current design organization is pathetic. -NO work life balance - The BIG project has still not materialized

    Advice to Management

Sell the company while you can, clients are realizing the A players have left the company
