I have been working at MACOM full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice 4 on 4 off and 3 on 3 off schedule. It's good if you don't mind 12 hour shifts. Management tends to leave you alone and let you do your job.

    Cons

Not enough tools to keep up with demand.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

Good pay, some flexibility depending on what department you work for.

    Cons

management too top heavy. Cannot count the number of VP's and Directors, seems unnecessary.
Benefits could be better as well as vacation for long term employees.

    Advice to Management

Less upper level managers - make every employee feel valued
Have more morale boosting programs in place - good morale goes a long way

    Pros

Starting pay is decent for the area, interesting work, nice co-workers, bi-annual bonuses based on overall company revenue.

    Cons

Management does not communicate well, quantity over quality, no advancement, poor training program.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to disseminate information better. Treat everyone equally, and not cater to special individuals unless you offer the same to other employees, regardless of relationship or friendliness.

    Pros

The employees are incredible people and the work is interesting. Company benefits are good.

    Cons

It is very visible to employees that most of the growth opportunity and bonuses go to management. Employees in lower, critical positions are likely to remain in those positions with slow growth. The company feels very "fat" at the top level.

    Advice to Management

Balance the workload by hiring more support.
