I have been working at MAHLE International full-time

    Pros

If you’re one of those people who has hit rock bottom and don’t care at what expense to rise up and take care of your family then this place is perfect as it is for me.

    Cons

In certain departments you have “forced” days which basically you’re working 84 hrs a week. Money is the best I’ve seen around but the employees get angry and tired of it so to make it worth their while will do anything to halt an employees progression if it’s going quick. Even taking you to hr even if it’s hear•say.

    Advice to Management

Stop being scared to keep people in line and to stop going to other people’s work areas to get dirt on someone to start trouble. Grow up and work.

I have been working at MAHLE International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A company with a solid past. A household brand with a good external reputation. Great location near Detroit. Possibility to learn finance and tax related matters in a large multinational. A good passage to enrich your CV in view of a better job in the US.

    Cons

Too many managers hired from outside. Very little opportunities to develop internally. Zero chances to grow if you are not German. Countryside-minded, multinational-sized company. All the top management geniuses come within a 50 miles radius from Stuttgart. CEO and other managers refugees from Bosch are stubbornly destroying the morale. Pursuing standardization but only achieving centralization.

    Advice to Management

Doctors and Professors still calling each other by family name: quit this arrogant attitude. Welcome staff’s ideas rather than only impose yours. Sack Bosch leftovers with copy-paste strategies from their former company. Stop acquiring companies and diluting resources. Leave behind the 20th century mindset and try to be humble and listen, listen, listen.

I have been working at MAHLE International full-time

    Pros

    Extremely competent technical people
Great place to hone your technical skills

    Cons

    Management doesn't encourage innovation
    Too much bureaucracy

    Advice to Management

Try to encourage innovation in teams outside Germany. Low cost engineering is not going to solve quality problems which have hurt the company bad.

I worked at MAHLE International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good people to work with in a team, office culture was excellent till 2015 but changed drastically after that

    Cons

New workplace culture is not so productive, the environment inside the office premises is too strict

    Advice to Management

Some amount of freedom should be given to the employees in terms of approach of solving a problem, measure the employee success based on the work done by them not on the bases of hours he/she put in, the work environment can be a little more relaxed as too strict environment leads to less productivity.
