I have been working at MARINERS BANK full-time

    Pros

Small community bank setting with small bank culture. Very familial enviornment. Latitude is given to work independently and open to new strategies and ideas. Executive team is extremely accessible

    Cons

Smaller banks mean smaller salaries but other perks such as generous benefits and flexible vacation time ability to grow quickly and great work enviornment.

    Advice to Management

Create more team building events and training programs

I worked at MARINERS BANK full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

small, local bank which allowed for a more intimate, for lack of better word, work setting, extremely understanding, awesome management staff

    Cons

being a small company, the staff was limited so it really requires a bit of flexibility, open unusually late for a bank, a small staff unfortunately means a large ring of gossip

    Advice to Management

the gossiping about another branch, or another employee causes new employees to have a negative predisposition when engaging with fellow employees and visiting other branches. you're all on the same team
