I worked at MAT Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A lot of opportunities to get into some exciting big projects even an entry level, good career accelerator for young person even if the company itself is not that famous, the SAP system is awesome, simplify lots of tactical jobs

    Cons

Pay is below the market, some managers are quite micromanagement while not for all the managers, still family owned company without too many internal promoting opportunities

    Advice to Management

Keep aggressive merge and acquisitions, create more job opportunities

    Pros

MAT is expanding fast in mutiple fields, so having lots of room for graduates to grow with.

    Cons

The compensation/Benefits just meet the standard level even slightly lower than the industry.

I worked at MAT Holdings full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent for a temporary job, considerably better than working in the food service industry.
Not difficult work--anyone can learn to do it.
    Friendly co-workers.

    Cons

    Below average pay.
    Semi-difficult working conditions.
Half of my managers were very helpful, while the other half were extremely lazy.

    Advice to Management

An increase in pay would increase worker morale and production. Additionally, you may want to conduct a review of some of your line managers.

I have been working at MAT Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. The company overall is doing well financially. Job security is at least good for me.
    2. If you are willing to, there is a lot of opportunity to learn.
    3. Co-workers are generally nice and professional.
    4. International travel if you like.

    Cons

    1. Job is very demanding. It is not an 8-5 job.
    2. As the company grows rapidly, the internal procedure and process is very behind. You will find a lot times there is very limited or no procedure for you to implement a practice. However it does not bother me much, because I can be the one to establish it, and I did learn during this kind of challenging and sometimes frustrating process.
    3. Upper Management only pursue margins... always try to beat the competitors on price. The goal is only to make the product with the lowest price in the market.
    4. Company is constructed very very lean. Advancement opportunity is also limited.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in R&D and build innovative unique products, not just copycat.
