      I worked at MAXIMUS Canada

      Pros

Supportive managers and coworkers Good pay Quiet workplace and good hands-on experience

      Cons

Boring work culture Isolating environment at times, very "Head down and work" mentality

      Advice to Management

Professional and fun don't need to be exclusive from each other! More open communication and collaboration between departments would have several benefits. As well, expressing the company's goals and new employees roles in achieving them would help motivate people intrinsically. There's a large reliance on extrinsic motivators.

I worked at MAXIMUS Canada full-time

      Pros

Gained a lot of experience in many different areas. My manager was open to letting me take on a variety of side projects and tasks.

      Cons

Ongoing overtime was expected, so very poor work/life balance. Low salary, and even lower when you factor in all the unpaid OT.

      Advice to Management

Deal with under-performers instead of piling the extra work and responsibility onto the high performers.

I worked at MAXIMUS Canada full-time

      Pros

Friendly management, always willing to help and explained the work well during training.

      Cons

Did not receive the amount of hours I was expecting. Many including myself were laid off after a month of work, with no warnings. Need to work on informing staff about scheduling problems.
