    Pros

I loved working at Maximus. They had very good supervisors and trainers. Benefits were great. Overall environment was professional, but casual

    Cons

They are always downsizing. Sometimes, some supervisors expected you to know what everyone(senior workers) already knew.

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at MAXIMUS full-time

    Pros

There were a lot of really nice people who worked here. Trainers and certain supervisors were helpful and easy to work with. You also get to learn a lot about health insurance application processing, which is good on the resume. The job itself was easy. Nice schedule.

    Cons

The worst thing about this job was the working conditions. You're crammed into a giant room with no windows sharing a little cubicle with another person. It was hard to focus on work when you are surrounded by so many people. Some supervisors were extremely immature, they can be seen running around gossiping, walking around with their phones out (which is against policy), and overall acting unprofessional. If you work hard here, people won't like you. Hard workers aren't appreciated here or recognized, maybe supervisors or upper positions were. Many people have been temps for over two years. I also saw bias on many occasions. Certain people would get written up, while others wouldn't. I knew someone who got written for listening to music on her phone, when our whole team did this.

    Advice to Management

Quit being cheap, hire your hard-workers. Quit going through temp agencies and wondering why people quit every other day. One of the most annoying aspects of this job was the lack of connection. Clock in, clock out, that was it. It was a negative work environment, because everyone constantly complained about working here. The work environment needs to changed by upper management. It's time to recognize this location will never build a positive, competent team of people by hiring a new batch of temps every 3 months. Maximus is a well-off company that needs to allocate their budget to hiring permanent staff, offering a higher pay, and a decent benefit package. The fact that you have to have atleast 3 "smes" answering questions all day to people who have been working there for 2+ years is concerning. I've never worked in an environment where grown people were babied so much and didn't have to learn how to do their job independently.
