I have been working at MAXIMUS full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent paid time off accrual allowed.

    Cons

Limited growth opportunities, low pay. The retention rate is ridiculously bad due to pay and management leaves a lot to desire.

    Advice to Management

If you can't afford to promote enough, find better incentives to keep your lowest employees happy and motivated. Act like you care since you can't show it with a decent raise.

    Pros

Great pay, and a chance to move up if you become someones favorite.

    Cons

Terrible professional environment, harassment isn't handled correctly. and management plays favorites. Cross the wrong person and you wont move up.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the people that could help change your company at a project level. And start investigating Harassment claims seriously.

I have been working at MAXIMUS full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    no pros at this postion

    Cons

Call ratios are ridiculous. If you are in the bilingual cue you must stay in the bilingual position throughout your career with maxinus So you must be promoted as bilingual or you don't move on. The managers are condicending when they have a conversation with you. The changes to processes and procedures are constant and considering the call volume time is not provided to review the changes.

I worked at MAXIMUS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Weekends off. Paid holidays. Medical plans. Starting pay is at least $11.54 an hour for the Athens, Texas location. Lots of great people do work there.

    Cons

Extremely high turnover of employees. Some supervisors WILL lie on you. I had a co-worker, that still works there, who was harassed and then lied on. This is a strict work environment so if you have problems with attendance then this job is not for you. You will receive many abusive callers who will curse you for their lack understanding of how food stamps and Medicaid works.

    Advice to Management

Cater to your workforce and get rid of bad supervisors.

I worked at MAXIMUS as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary, expensive benefits for employees.

    Cons

Lack of structure and feedback. It doesn't feel like the company supports you and that you are quite disposable.
