The best company I ever worked for!

    Cons

Little different petty bits of gossip; but as long as you're a mature adult and act accordingly you will have no problems and do your job!

I worked at MAXIMUS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have a great staff and I had great managers. The hours are mostly regular business hours. The pay is good. They provide paid training.

    Cons

I worked through a staffing agency and you could be a temp for a really long time without getting hired permanently.

    Advice to Management

I loved all my supervisors and wouldn't change anything about them.

I have been working at MAXIMUS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Decent company for smart people.
Provides a very good training: one full (paid) month in class of education within the field.
Can be a good start for a career within the Health Insurance & Health Care programs; Less likely to be the place to rise and shine.

    Cons

HR administration is a highly dysfunctional sector. You would need to set all your issues on your own - immigration status verification, payroll mistakes, benefits ...etc

    Advice to Management

...to be more human oriented toward the employees. In the Company, where no other significant motivator can be offered as an alternative to money (as a commission for an example)... only charismatic leader can motivate workers to do their job with respect. Maximus need more heart and charisma.

    Pros

Raises, quarterly bonus, opportunities to promote management will work with you. Set schedule weekends off. Holidays off. Paid time off.

    Cons

They work with contracts so your job is not promised. Set lunches and breaks and you can't be late a minute or 2 without it messing up your daily adherence. Dealing with rude clients all day can be draining.

    Advice to Management

    None
