Our inbound support calls are extremely low, with only a handful a day that are handled across dozens of employees. We have no outbound calls at all. This post is not legit...

I worked at MBMS, Inc. full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The employees are all friendly and generally welcoming people. MBMS provides a kitchen stocked with drinks, snacks (oatmeal, yogurt, chips) and coffee/tea all for free. The talent and intelligence level at MBMS is quite high and makes it a pleasurable environment to work in.

      Cons

There's a lack of drive and determined focus to achieve more. For such a small company they are strangely slow to adapt and implement sound changes.

      Advice to Management

Become more adaptable. It felt like a company of 50,000 with layers of bureaucratic red-tape rather than a nimble company of 50.

In 2018, we have taken measures to become more lean and agile in our approach to our structures, coaching our team members and servicing our clients. Feedback loops have shown that our efforts are having a big impact in creating more engagement and higher customer satisfaction.

I have been working at MBMS, Inc. full-time

      Pros

-Free food and soft drinks in the kitchen -Lots of smart and professional people -Younger staff means there are often company wide events -Management is definitely trying to work on culture

      Cons

-Software is extremely complex and not really transferable. Many people that are otherwise very smart feel stupid trying to navigate the byzantine software used by the company. -Company often feels rudderless, shifting between priorities on a whim and never really finishing anything -Job roles and requirements can change unexpectedly based on needs. It's not a large company so even if you don't do support, you might...

I worked at MBMS, Inc. full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Decent benefits time earned and sick pay vacation time. Won't run out of work always busy and demanding and no idle time

      Cons

Training and management leave a lot to be desired. Turnover of employees is extremely high. Too many office clicks, almost like I was back in high school. Lots of favoritism. No exit interview to voice an opinion. Supervisors stated that they did not offer additional training for me as I was struggling with my job. Was told that the training of one whole week was enough and that they didn't train that way that I...

      Advice to Management

Open your eyes to the turnover rate. You set people up for failure by not offering the proper training to individuals by proper trainers. Supervisors are a complete joke and very impersonal. Never encouraging unless you were in their click. Expect most of your good employees to leave for work at McDonald's.

      MBMS, Inc. Response

      March 27, 2019CIO

At MBMS, our turn-over rate is very low, so that perception is not accurate. We also have exit interviews for all employees as they leave. We recently formalized our onboarding process to create a defined training syllabus for new employees. We also just started working on a defined ...

      Pros

A lot of work so you won't ever run out or get bored.

      Cons

Worst health insurance and they do not take their employees seriously when it comes to employees having trouble with others in the work place. I just got yelled at and then dismissed like a dog.

      Advice to Management

Have some real managers who knows how to manage.

Our benefits are both generous and competitive in the market. We have a flexible spend so employees can pick where to invest their benefit dollars. This review does not seem legit.

      I worked at MBMS, Inc.

      Pros

benefits - PTO, health insurance paid, kitchen full of free food the environment is very fostering of a good relationship with your coworkers.

      Cons

everything is critical - everything is high priority. setting customer expectations is non-existent.

      Advice to Management

understand office politics - many of the employees had only worked there and didn't understand that MBMS is a strange environment. also, compensating your employees (across the board, not just specific teams) equally. finally, realize when there are toxic individuals in the company and remove them!

      Pros

Interesting, tough work. Clients are generally nice. Benefits are really great. Coworkers are fun, and generally there isn't a lot of drama.

      Cons

Always on - you're expected to check emails at almost any time. Overly aggressive timelines and sometimes short noticemail on travels.

      Advice to Management

Manage based on your employees style. Most people don't want to be micromanaged. Give clients reasonable expectations of project completion
