I have been working at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, excellent growth and continuing education opportunities, prestigious institution

    Cons

Paying for parking, you get sick of the cafeteria food and the cost to eat at the better cafe's.

    Advice to Management

I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

When I first started they made sure that you were properly trained for the position.

    Cons

The department I worked in did not work with people with disabilities. Then they hired new management that really did not know M. D. Anderson's way of doing things and they would take their inablities out on the employees.

    Advice to Management

Train new management, do not assume that they know what they are doing because they have worked in that area before.

    Pros

Friendly staff/ co-workers. Lots of opportunities to learn and develop skills.

    Cons

This role can be improperly used. This institution stair-steps it's employees, irregardless of criteria or degrees attained EXCEPT FOR NURSING. DO NOT ACCEPT and entry level or low paying position thinking/ buying into promises of growth. If you are an exception employee, they will hinder you from moving.

    Advice to Management

Stop overworking your hardest / most productive workers
