    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Salaries are higher than market for certain finance/accounting and management jobs. Stable employer overall with good insurance for single employee.

    Cons

Hard to advance up the corporate ladder. During my last performance evaluation, my manager recommended a promotion, however due to changes in division leadership and budget limitations, my promotion was placed on hold.
Non productive employees are not reprimanded or given incentives to approve.
Small merit increases for employees with exemplary performance reviews.
Nothing is done about bad and ineffective managers and employees.
Too many ambiguous changes in leadership at all levels. We have been without a much needed Finance manager for more than a year.
Too much of a deduction from paycheck for TRS retirement and parking.
Parking is a hassle for many employees with long waiting lists for garages. Employees are not permitted to use shuttles for transport to their parking. Parking shuttles should be provided and accessible to all employees.

    Advice to Management

Need to better align individual job performance with merit increases. Employees who are hard workers, team players, and high performers should be better rewarded. There is not much of an effort to retain excellent workers. Trim more 'fat' in leadership and regular personnel. Get rid of bad managers. There are too many employees who don't take their role/position seriously
