I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

People are very knowledgeable, caring, and professional. Many interesting workshops and trainings.

    Cons

The internship is unpaid... Task can be boring at times

    Advice to Management

Better benefits for college student interns...? And certain paperworks are redundant, for instance Castle Branch is not a very efficient process for health check...

I have been working at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Others in the field recognize MD Anderson as a world-class institution
-Jobs here are generally very secure as long as your PI is well-funded, and you are well-liked
-Great vacation benefits kick in after a few years and continue to increase over time
-There are many great physicians, scientists, and managers here to work under, but on the flipside...

    Cons

-With no formal management training, many PIs are not ideal bosses (but this is probably true of most similar institutions)
-Not a ton of growth opportunities unless you have advanced degrees (also probably true across the board
