I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time

    Pros

Great company with a great mission and benefits.

    Cons

Management in IT is poor. Top management are all friends and will cover for each other, instead of holding each other accountable. Very bad practice and destroys the culture. Decisions are made based on personal preference, not based on performance.

    Advice to Management

Run the department as a business, not as a group of friends and eliminate people you don't like, even if they are top performers.

I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

When I first started they made sure that you were properly trained for the position.

    Cons

The department I worked in did not work with people with disabilities. Then they hired new management that really did not know M. D. Anderson's way of doing things and they would take their inablities out on the employees.

    Advice to Management

Train new management, do not assume that they know what they are doing because they have worked in that area before.
