    Pros

    Good medial benefits were provided.

    Cons

Low pay, upper management will always side with faculty even if they're in the wrong, micro-managing. Must "know someone" in order to advance. Expensive parking.

Contractors are like cattle. Users yell at help-desk representatives very often. Extremely Political Atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Employee feedback/ review should be extended to "contractors to hire".

I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The MDs are fantastic physicians.
They care about the patients and the staff who works under them.

    Cons

Managements are horrible. Majority of the management are inexperienced and they pride themselves on their titles Very vain. Borderline dictatorship.

    Advice to Management

Learn about humility, patience & learn your role.
You will then get the respect from your staff

I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Institution to receive great experience and learn different variations of oncology research. I was able to learn about several chemotherapy drugs and the approval process of getting a research protocol approved by the FDA.

    Cons

It is very difficult to transfer to another department. The difficulty in finding a department with the right is a struggle depending on the type of environment & individuals running the administration.

I have been working at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to collaborate and meet diversified and talented people from all over the world. Good company benefits, and campus fitness center. Great social scene in Pickens Tower, Main Hospital, and Duncan building, very isolated in others. Training and online education is available.

    Cons

Management of departments is full of young inexperienced managers straight out of MBA school who have no concept of the operations of a large hospital or clinic. Blind trying to lead the blind. Experienced employees are devalued and underutilized in favor of lower salaries and inexperienced beginners. Top management are disconnected and have no idea what teams under them are doing. Too many meetings and too many departments that do the same thing. Left does not know what right does. Cronyism, backstabbing, favoritism, blackballing. Your opinion is asked for, but met surprisingly by a silent stone wall. Choose and move carefully or goodbye career progression.

    Pros

    Cons

There is a lot going on here.

    Job title is ridiculous!
We have to pay for parking spot!
We have to bring even our coffee.
    No work from home,
    Not competitive salary at all.
    No job security
    Too much policies.
    No friendly work environment

    Advice to Management

You knew who messed up and what caused this chaos
instead of laying off your employees , you must resign !

    Pros

There are no pros. They laid off people just months away from retirement without giving them the option of early retirement. This is what they get for 15+ years of loyalty.

    Cons

Every level of management is incompetent up to and including the directors. It is time to drain the swamp, unfortunately they are laying off anyone that has a voice of reason or does not fit into their cliques. Very sad as to many good people have been lost and many incompetent managers were retained.

    Advice to Management

    Resign.
