I have been working at MDA full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Lots of company events, quarterly reviews (after party) fun. Great learning opportunities and good benefits (no deductible or premium cost)

    Cons

Cafeteria food can be a hit or miss, same for air conditioning in building. Salaries are average at best.

    Advice to Management

Encourage management to put people first, and take the time to get to know them by walking around the building

    I worked at MDA

    Pros

Nice coworkers, paid overtime, interesting problems.

    Cons

Good place to go if you are looking for a place to fall death or you just don’t care about your career and want a measly salary. Old company, run by old rules, similar to a factory. Very hierarchical decision making. People with no technical background giving technical directives, without being held accountable for they decisions. All the bad reviews below are completely true, don’t doubt any of the things they mention....

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the death weight.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at MDA full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - Flexible working hours (1.5 overtime if you are on the non-technical side) - Great experience and learning to start, lots of exposure to different aspects of work in short amounts of time - Great personnel and work ethics amongst managers, supervisory staff and even Accounting/Finance personnel who are always willing to help with your numbers!

    Cons

    - Way below average salary than industry standards in Greater Vancouver Area. - Company does not value knowledge, education, and achievements when considering growth and career advancement. - Cafeteria food is nothing but BAD with no improvements nor subsidies for employees!!

    Advice to Management

    - Senior Management needs to really step up and address the salary and career advancement issue in the company. They need to seriously value their' valuable resources' from leaving the company on an ongoing basis, regardless of how well or bad the company is doing.

I have been working at MDA

    Pros

    - big company - new technologies - opportunity to work on big projects - flexible hours - variety of projects

    Cons

    - low salary! - company is hesitant to promote anyone to the next level! - nothing special about benefits - slow, unhelpful responses from service desk - lack of parking spaces - horrible cafeteria food - bad location for office (can also lead to lack of options for alternative places to eat -> see above)

    Advice to Management
