    Advice to Management

Keep communication lines open and show your staff the same support and encouragement I received.

There are no cons for this company. This is a great company to work for with good compensation, bonus, medical insurance, 401(k), life insurance and paid time off.

    Advice to Management

No advise to management as they are doing a great job with their employees.

    Pros

there benefits are good, high insurance premium for a healthcare company

    Cons

cliquish, its not what you know but who you know, seem to love the gossip environment. treat employees unfairly

    Advice to Management

Stop having pets, and talking bad about employees.. Stop hiring inexperience people and family members and putting them in management positions

I have been working at MEDNAX full-time

    Pros

Good healthcare benefits, pay isn't too bad, mostly nice co-workers

    Cons

They are stingy with offering raises, lots of paperwork and sitting at computer time, tend to take the hard working employees for granted

    Advice to Management

Discuss promotion raise with employee, don't just give them the raise you think they should have.

I have been working at MEDNAX full-time

    Pros

    Good benefits, good location,

    Cons

Poor management, unorganized, not enough training, no room from development.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees the way you would like to be treated as you are making an impact the lives of your staff. You help shape their future. Not be attentive to their needs, giving training instead of looking for ways to get rid of someone when the mess up would be a big benefit. Show that you really care and stab them I'm the back when the are not around. We are really trying our best, but a toxic environment will not benefit anyone.

I worked at MEDNAX full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits. PTO. Quarterly and annual bonus

    Cons

Too much back stabbing within departments. People are quick to call you out and throw you under the bus. Too much drama between management spreading rumors. Do as I say not as I do. No structure in some departments. Not enough training or positive feedback.

    Advice to Management

My advice to upper management? Hire managers. Not bosses. There is a big difference. Managers should be able to assist when work load gets heavy. They should know ALL the ins and outs of their department.

I worked at MEDNAX full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good company to work for in the medical billing industry.

    Cons

When I was there, they were replacing the branch director and there was a lot of transition and uncertainty. And mandatory overtime was required for an extended period of time.

    Advice to Management

Make employee intake process faster, it took almost a month before I even heard back from anyone about an interview.

I have been working at MEDNAX full-time

    Pros

    Pay, flex hours, PTO, benefits

    Cons

MANAGEMENT does not care about their employees. Easy to points out flaws instead of trying to encourage the team to do a better job or give any kind of acknowledgement towards your work.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees on what is being recommended. Unhappy employees equals high turn over which is what this company has.

I worked at MEDNAX part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with babies is really the only pro. Some of your coworkers are ok and you work by yourself for the most part.

    Cons

Dealing with rude nurses who act like they're better and more important until they need you to screen their patient last minute. They will literally act like they're your boss and try to tell you how and when to do your job.

It's also a pain to call in sick or if you have an emergency. Management will tell you to call your coworkers to come in for you (which they don't) or they'll do their best to make you come in even if you have a dr's note.
