    I worked at MGM Grand Hotel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits, good place to work. The employees are like a family everybody is close. Tips are good and the casino stays busy.

    Cons

    Management is often inexperienced and that can make it difficult at times. EDR is empty on swing and grave shifts.

    Advice to Management

    Try to hire people with experience to manage it would make a big difference. Realise that employees who have been there a long time are valuable also.

    Pros

    Work Culture, Lots of Learning and Training, Benefits, Employee Networking, CSR events. The entire Sales and Convention team is amazing and hardworking. You can move up if you show leadership, drive, and the desire to learn more.

    Cons

    We really work hard, but you often get to prove yourself and what you are capable of. The best thing is, you are not doing it alone.

    Continue to hire those who are driven to succeed and really make sure they are getting the training to move forward.

    Good benefits, I was always treated well by my supervisors, and had some nice perks like drycleaning and the EDR.

    Cons

    Ridiculous diversity training classes. Lots of cheesy corporate posters.

    Great benefits. Great flexibility. They work around your schedule. Great experience from customers to management.

    The heat. Some guests can be rude. Sometimes overwhelming situations but everyday is a new day.
