    Pros

Great benefits and PTO. 8 hour days with an hour being a paid lunch. Employee Dining Room where meals are provided.

    Cons

Being over worked and underpaid. Expected to do things beyond job title with no additional compensation. There are definitely favorites within the department and most time concerns are not taken into consideration.

    Easy work... But.....

    Pros

Great company, with awesome benefits and the opportunities to move into different areas (supervisor, manager etc)were endless. Free lunch, unlimited cereal bagels, coffee and soda. A workout facility. A diverse company and a great brand to work for.

    Cons

Some member's of management had their favorites (like any other job). They'll do for one that they will not do for another. Work life balance isn't easy when you work at a 24 hour facility, and last but not lest the cigarette smoke. The cigarette smoke can become unbearable at times, and management refuses to display signs in our area that smoking was not allowed.

Decent place to work, but OMG the heat is not worth the wage.

    Pros

It's really nice being able to work at one of the oldest hotel casinos on the Las Vegas strip. There is definitely a sense of pride and loyalty there. The other staff are very friendly, and usually just leave you to your job. If you're lucky to be a cashier that has a 2nd person with you, it makes the time go by much faster. And if you like this, you do get to meet all kind of people from all walks of life.

    Cons

Avoid EDR between 1-2pm. That's when all the housekeepers are on lunch, and it's insane in there. By the time you get your food, you'll only have 5mins to eat, and you want to enjoy the time you get to sit and be in AC (if you're working outdoors). I worked as a retail sales (aka cashier) at the pool. I was working at $10/hr, while there were employees that worked the ticketing office INSIDE at $14/hr. Keep in mind, the peak of summer (which is about 3-4 months long in Vegas), is 110-120F.... $10/hr does not seem balance out that kind of suffering. Not to mention, at the pool, you only have a 2nd person with you for maybe 2-3 hours in your 8 hour day. The rest of it you're by yourself. Oh, and you're not allowed to sit... there isn't even a chair out there for you.
