Great Company, except for mid-level management.

    Pros

The benefits are fantastic you accrue PTO at a phenomenal rate. The upper management is amazing. Company is very family-friendly and understanding of emergencies even within probationary period. They have the appearance of being very veteran-friendly and have lots of Outreach opportunities if you like volunteering there is even a page for the inside of the employee portal. Other department in the company would probably be a wonderful placement but Talent acquisition is a disaster.

    Cons

A company is an HR nightmare. There is discrimination everywhere you turn. There are political conversations that take place and if you happen to have Republican views you will be a leper. During the 2016 presidential elections there were lots of comments that went around the office about how people couldn't work the day after the election because they couldn't believe that these stupid Republicans won the race. One of my co-workers was asked to be less disabled because her disability made someone uncomfortable. She had a physical disfigurement. It feels like kindergarten in the office. You cannot have a phone conversation for fear that someone else in the office will hear your conversation and not like your tone of voice even if they weren't on the receiving end of the call. If you are not a member of senior recruitment you are disposable. When introducing people from a different department to the TA team Talent acquisition representatives are introduced as " temporary but still really important to the company" You get chastised for going over your time even if it's only by a couple minutes. If something happens and you miss a clock in or out even if you notify people with plenty of time to correct before the pay. Ends you can still end up waiting 3 weeks for it to be corrected.

    Pros

Good managers, not fussy environment. You can do anything as long as you do your job right. You can work hard and get on the manager level if you have the drive for it. Encouraging staff and upper management.

    Cons

Gets too busy on weekends and is usually over booked so the burden is all on the front desk !

Loved my guests and staff members but would certainly like to teach the head honcho's a thing or two.

    Pros

The benefit package is pretty good. You even get free meals daily which can save a lot from eating out. You have opportunity to meet some very interesting people, guests and employees alike. It is a very diverse company to work for.

    Cons

inpersonal upper management who lack communication skills. Never acknowledged for job well done. Major lack of support from upper management. If you're good at your job you never have any kind of acknowlegement. This company doesn't even do annual performance reviews. I've worked in Retail management for 25 years and never worked for a company that operates this way. Everyone is paid the same rate regardless of their performance.

Upper Management Doesn’t Care About Their Team

    Pros

    Great health benefits under MGM.

    Cons

Upper management are horrible leaders. Too many back and forth changes in policies and structure. And yet they don’t have any compassion for the team’s stress level. They also do not provide the team with time to adjust. They don’t appreciate their workers.

    Pros

Great Benefits and salary. An Industry leader in the gaming and hospitality industry. First class facility both front and back of the house. Covered parking.

    Cons

Company values questionable. Upper management is still stuck in the 60's in terms of promoting based upon merit. Management team is unfortunately corrupt. Employee morale is low.
