Pros
Cons
  • The company is growing quickly which naturally comes with a lot of change in the way things get done, so you must be ready to adapt quickly (in 18 reviews)

  • With everything that's happened, I am skeptical of any office that's not located in Scottsdale or San Luis Obispo closing (in 17 reviews)

I have been working at MINDBODY as an intern

    Pros

-Great culture committed to core values
-Entrust interns with real projects, not simply making copies and grabbing coffee
    -Constantly evolving
    -Motivated employees

    Cons

    -Minimum wage pay for interns
    -Many data entry tasks

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Medical Benefits
    401(K)
    Salary (depending on job)
    Wellness Card
    E.S.P.
    Casual Dress
    Quality work stations
    Introductory Training

    Cons

Top Heavy Senior Leadership (Directors, VP, Executive)
Too much managing up, not enough managing down
Lack of operational direction & strategy
    Convenient ignorance to front-line problems
    Leaders lack career development skills
Projects aren't organized & aligned; lack view from a team or customer perspective
Quality team members leaving due to stress
Not all teams are staffed to handle workload
HR is wonderful but they cannot help you
Employee surveys are good in thought but pointless when feedback is ignored

    Advice to Management

How do we get you to see us? How do we get you to hear us? How do we invoke positive change without having to leave a company we love?
Challenge: Directors & up - spend 20 full business days answering phones on a customer facing queue with a team member shadowing you so you can hear and experience the customer journey.

In the midst of growth and change do not forget the effect on your team by the constant changes in processes. We believe in the core values, lets stay focused on them.

    Pros

Great people to work with, positive attitudes. Great working environments. Great perks including wellness funds and matching 401k and company funded team celebrations.

    Cons

The downside to working at mindbody is that the interesting high profile projects come with very strict deadlines and are understaffed at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your people and continue to evolve the as a whole. Be pro active and not reactive.

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Scottsdale office has come a long ways since I first started. All of the fun vibes are still in the office and we've matured at the same time. Most of the people in the office want to be there and want to get better at sales.

    Cons

There has been a lot of change. It's almost been unbearable but I feel like things are heading in the right direction.

    Advice to Management

For the first time since coming on board I feel like have a clear path ahead so please keep doing whatever you're doing.

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I believe this is a very good organization to work for. The pay is very fair and management genuinely wants to keep our wages competitive. I feel there is a lot of room for professional growth and leadership is always available to help with career goals.

    Cons

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the company.

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time

    Pros

    Positive environment
    Active and healthy lifestyle
The core values are lived up to! Just to name a few... helpful, humble, full of integrity
    Good medical benefits
Wellness card is a great perk

    Cons

    Big line of management
Pay/lack of commission for an SDR
Vague of how/when you do get promoted

    Advice to Management

Raise base pay for an SDR since the commission is SO low and we have to rely on someone else to make the deal. Hard to live off the base pay, even with the small commission.

    Pros

    Great atmosphere
    OK benefits
Wellness credit card, re-loaded each month

    Cons

They do not pay their techs well enough. While they really urge work life balance, many techs have a second job in order to make enough money.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people at MINDBODY are the pulse of the organization, they have done well hiring talent.

    Cons

On a operations standpoint, this is the worst company I have worked for. The day to day tasks are tedious and in the stone age, along with their lead distribution. They have created a toxic environment in concerns to how reps must fight over the few valuable leads in the system. The protocol for inbound lead distribution is even more alarming, it is set up for gargantuan favoritism. Polices are only enforced on a case by case situation, again leading to favoritism that has ruined the morale and culture. They center many of the changes and operations around the the core values, yet the way they operate goes against all of the core values.

    Advice to Management

They need to clean house top down in the sales department, from the VP to sales managers. Two out of the Four team leaders in Scottsdale genuinely care about their employees and the companies mission. Clean up the operations, invest in the sales department...if they can't or are not willing to...they should stick with one sales team and keep it in SLO CA. The excessive waste this company is hemorrhaging from overhead (upper mangement, side projects) and the lack of updating the operations and tools the reps use is absurd.

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time

    Pros

The friendly, professional, and extremely fun environment.

    Cons

Management has unclear goals. They need to determine the overall purpose of Mind body.

    Advice to Management

You need to decide whether your company is business for profit or industry monopolization. Because if it is the first then you need mandate payments and make a standard for what businesses we are trying to recruit.
