I have been working at MINDBODY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very flexible hours, dress, and workflow. There is no micro management if you are getting your work done.

    Cons

It can be a high stress and competitive job. There is always a lot of energy with very little tine to relax.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing an amazing job, love working for this company.

I worked at MINDBODY full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I was in sales for 3 years and watched the company grow. Very easy going company to work for as long as you hit goals. It was great to learn about a great product. Fun and fitness built into the work day.

    Cons

Sales team seem to have it the hardest. Went from a solution sales environment with new staff learning a lot about the product to then being scripted calls with no training for new staff on the actual product prior to contact with potential clients. Many senior sales staff were leaving due to not feeling wanted. Even being one of their top sales people I had no increase in salary for the last 2 years.

I have been working at MINDBODY for more than a year

    Pros

The culture and the people! They really do emphasize a work-life balance. The CEO has a true and honest vision of utilizing tech to improve the wellness of the world. This is proven by having an awesome gym/classes on site and the monthly wellness bucks. There are fun competitions that often happen within sales that can lead to everything ranging from Amazon Certs to 2k in bonuses.

    Cons

Management seems to experiment and learn from their mistakes along the way. Pricing and comp plans are 'continuously evolving' which makes it hard to find a continual groove as a Sales Rep. San Luis Obispo is a very expensive place to live with a very infiltrated rental economy and the fluctuating pay in Sales does not make for steady, expensive life income. Be wary of moving to the area if you haven't already found affordable, reliable, long term housing.

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

$65 monthly allowance to fitness/wellness companies. On site classes, massage. Great product, great clients. Culture is amazing, we truly believe in improving the wellness of the world.

    Cons

Sales is a GRIND. The base pay is extremely low and goals are hard to reach. Extremely competitive and difficult to adjust to constant structure changes. Lots of reps cheating the system and there are no repercussions for dishonest sales tactics. They hire from within in terms of management and sometimes pick a candidate based on tenure and not qualifications. They try to encourage work / life balance but in order to succeed in sales there is no balance. Must work from 8-6+ and weekends in order to stay afloat. No compensation for taking time off. Commission used to be great but they changed structure and my pay decreased SUBSTANTIALLY, by about 40k per year, even though they promised that wouldn't happen. They don't seem to care about the employees anymore after going public. Keeps getting harder and harder to survive here.

    Advice to Management

Give a heads up before making major changes to employee structure, commissions, funnels, etc. Do not make a huge change, implement for three months, and then decide it was a bad idea. Tons of wasted time and effort.

    I worked at MINDBODY

    Pros

    - Great perks: onsite cafeteria, yoga and fitness classes, massage room, wellness dollars, monthly parties - Inspiring people: everyone at MINDBODY seems to be active and promoting a healthy lifestyle - Fun atmosphere: the sales office is lively and competitive, with a healthy dose of antics - Making an impact: the company's mission is to leverage technology to improve the health and wellness of the world, and as an employee, you feel like you have an impact - Feels like a start-up: even though they are public with 1,500 employees

    Cons

Compensation is lackluster in comparison to similar roles in SF Constantly changing sales structure which requires a nimble personality Success in sales is largely dependent on outbound effort

    Advice to Management

continue to compensate your senior level sales persons stop hiring just to hire, and make sure it's a good fit

I have been working at MINDBODY full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good people, relaxed environment with colleagues, fruit. Lots of meetings. Filling wordcount.

    Cons

Scripted for all new starters, lack of training, leaderboard stack ranking environment which is heavily emphasised every day, 75 dials a day or leave mentality and then performance plan even if you hit that metric which doesn't make sense. Stupid following of what the US does, killing the UK office slowly. Have zero belief in their own core values.

    Advice to Management

Put your people before your careers, stop demanding "your way or the highway",
