Pros
I get the work with my hands Challenge my mind
Cons
Management Forced to work 12 hour days sometimes Hate my work schedule

Pros
Truly some of the nicest, most down-to-earth people. Employees are very passionate about the business and the company. Lots of long-tenured employees - low turnover. Company runs lean, so many roles are very broad-based, with lots of cross-functional responsibility. There is a real opportunity everyday to see the direct impact of your work on the business. Company really "walks the walk" when they talk about caring about their employees. Employees work hard, but life outside of work is equally important and the company has a very high tolerance for and support of work/life balance. The company has a strong mission and purpose that is real and genuine.
Cons
The company is growing and is transitioning from a "small to big" company, which brings some growing pains. Because the company runs lean, people have to get more done with fewer resources. The organization structure is fairly flat - career growth happens more organically either in role or cross-functionally. In a lot of areas there are not defined career paths.

Pros
A company with long-term growth and stability, MOM also has a great culture of growth, improvement and support. Many long-term employees that really know their stuff and show the quality of the company.
Cons
There's a disconnect between the production floor and mid to upper management, leading many in production to have a poor attitude toward MOM and reminisce of the 'good old days.' Benefits and job security have taken a hit over the last couple of years.

Pros
The working conditions are good. The team members care about doing a good job and making the best product in the market.
Cons
Way too many layers of management and too many staff positions who contribute nothing to the bottom line. Management is clueless and thinks that if they keep repeating the mantra of "a great place to great work" it will somehow be true. It WAS a great place to do great work. Now it is just a place to get a paycheck. No raises, no incentive pay, no Christmas bonus, No profit sharing...just keep repeating the mantra and hope the employees are stupid enough to believe it.

Pros
Comfortable office buildings. Great people. Still good benefits. Family private ownership. Great work life balance. Family oriented. Good relatively stable category in a stable food industry.
Cons
Inmates run the asylum in the Northfield plant. Long term employees feel they are entitled to everything. Over balance of sales with one customer.

Pros
Wonderful people, great products, friendly culture and an overwhelming drive from the floor to make the company better. Everyone on the wants to help.
Cons
The leadership team is not well chosen to lead this company. They are not necessarily bad, just bad for this company. They keep trying to change it into the same type of business that Malt-O-Meal used to beat. They have horribly disfigured a beautiful company that already had so much courage and spirit. Really sad. Murdered by ignorance.

Pros
Family-owned company. Very long range focus as opposed to quarter to quarter focus. Great employees Awesome profit sharing plan. Growing fast
Cons
Change is very hard Growing fast - some growing pains Too forgiving - People who can't cut it aren't let go. Problem is ignored or person is shuffled from one department to another

Pros
Majority of people outside of management are great, they're willing to help in whatever way they can! There's a few really good managers, but unless they're willing to play the political game, they'll be squashed and not allowed to thrive. Work/life balance was always very good.
Cons
Management has changed dramatically over the past 8-10 years. Upper level management used to engage with employees on a personal level. Now employees are a number. Everyone is replaceable and dispensable, regardless of experience and knowledge of the company history. Benefits (health, profit sharing, 401k, etc). were almost impossible to find anywhere else. Very easy to find competitive and often able to improve by moving on. Very difficult to watch the company go from what it was to what it has become.

Pros
I like the overall outlook and goals, as well as values of the company. Management values the opinions of individuals on the front line of manufacturing in order to effectively streamlines and improve processes where possible. Also, noticed a high level of promotion from within.
Cons
Revenues come in from a handful of large buyers; sales are not diversified enough for my liking.

Pros
*the company truly cares about making safe food in a safe environment. We didn't cut costs just to have a better bottom line. *provided a lot of training for team members and continuing education/training for staff/management
Cons
*is a manufacturing environment, so there is definitely a manufacturing culture
