I have been working at MOUNTAIN LTD. full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Wonderful supportive work environment. Learning resources are always available. Great casual office with friendly co-workers. I love working for Mountain!!

    Cons

At times there is a lack of direction, but if you ask for help, you will find plenty of people or resources to gain the knowledge desired.

    Advice to Management

More structured training prior to assignments. Such a busy place - but that's always a great problem to have!

I worked at MOUNTAIN LTD. full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The people that worked for me were great. I had the opportunity to get to know my bosses. The pay was good. The local office atmosphere was open, straight forward, and fostered a sense of community.

    Cons

Poor planning and bidding practices. Transparency, there could be lots more. Internal backstabbing by those worried about whether their friends will have jobs. Company as a whole does not engage with satellite offices effectively. Holding local teams responsible for promises that upper management made but did not communicate to them.

    Advice to Management

If you don't know what you are getting into then ask some one who does! Hire qualified staff as a project starts not months later. Promote one company mindset and be all inclusive. Keep promises that you have made to your employees regarding pay and advancement. Communication with parent company HR needs to be improved.

I worked at MOUNTAIN LTD. full-time

    Pros

    Flexible schedule and great coworkers

    Cons

Management does not stand up for employees with companies that they are contracted with. They say that your job is covered when you have a planned absense yet do not follow through and throw you under the bus when the job is not covered.

    Advice to Management

Support your employees and stop throwing them under the bus. Also get management all on same page with how things are run.

I have been working at MOUNTAIN LTD. full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

MOUNTAIN is not a place where you punch in and stare at the clock until it's time to punch out. It may sound corny, but I think of MOUNTAIN as a way of life. I laugh at work. The teamwork and collaboration is infectious, as you commonly hear folks shouting from one office to the next to help close the big deal, or you may even catch someone from a completely separate department being trained up on a new function for...

I have been working at MOUNTAIN LTD. full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The work environment genuinely promotes teamwork and allows for everyone to learn from each other. The work is fast paced and adheres to deadlines yet you never feel like an unfair weight has been placed on your shoulders. Instead responsibility is shared amongst the team and you grow together. This is a nice change from other environments where everyone is looking to stab you in the back or run you over with a large...

I worked at MOUNTAIN LTD. full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Pay was decent. Glad I left when I did.

    Cons

Upper management was VERY hands off - to a fault. It was difficult to determine if management stands behind their employees or throws them under the bus to their clients. In the daily atmosphere, upper management definitely says one thing but does another. I was setup to fail before I ever started working here.

    Advice to Management

Be real with your employees, be accountable as a company - do not single people out, and stop being so hands off - non-confrontational.
