I worked at MV Transportation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent communication within the entire dispatch team "Septa". Monthly recognition for safe drivers who have not received any points or camera hits. Compensation exceptional.

    Cons

Extremely long hours driving. No set route or schedule. Health benefits were very expensive.

    Advice to Management

Give drivers set schedules and routes. Lower the rate for health coverage. Lastly, cut routes and driving time by ending routes closers too the drivers frequent daily run/ manifests.

    Pros

The type of work is rewarding, Providing Transportation to those who can't drive or make it to fixed routes.

    Cons

Need to care for for the drivers. Without them there is no company. Pay a living wage.

I worked at MV Transportation part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Get to meet and Interact with a variety of different people. Get to explore the city and see different things like you would never be able to do otherwise.

    Cons

Schedule of pickups and drop offs leaves much to be desired. Very chaotic and dysfunctional company. Always late to almost every pickup. On-board computers and GPS work only 50% of the time. Keeping clients on-board for way longer then supposed to due to traffic, distance, multiple ride conflictions, example: first one picked up, is the last one dropped off, and so on.

    Advice to Management

re-evaluate structure and integrity of the company, and reorganize schedules of the pickups and drop offs. Assign drivers to sectional areas of the city for more controlled and manageable business.

    Pros

The general people you come across on the road as passengers

    Cons

This company especially MV Philadelphia is an all around JOKE.
