    Pros

    Good work life balance, location

    Cons

Incompetent management, constant re-orgs in IT, old run-down building

    Advice to Management

Take a good hard look at yourselves and question your abilities to effectively manage people, to establish solid processes that actually work and to be visionaries.

You have much room for improvement in these areas. This is why qualified IT people are constantly leaving this company,,

They're in the midst of updating and streamlining systems.
They are handicapped friendly and comfortable with folks working remotely.
Gym and cafeteria space on site with big windows and natural light.
    Currently renovating the building.

    Cons

In process of upgrading some systems are slower or go down unexpectedly.
Snack machines have issues often and folks have to leave post-its to resolve with vendor.
Mothers Room is the size of a closet and inside the bathroom. Currently renovating the building.

    Advice to Management

Having a meditation room would be good where there are empty classrooms now. Also more vendors to come in an offer lunches in the cafeteria.

    Pros

MVP has terrible uneducated upper management, SILO's, Favoritism, Not putting the member first. Not transparent and Credibility downhill. Overworked for the pay grade.

I have been working at MVP Health Care full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If your succeed and are knowledgeable of your job you will be rewarded. Great benefits and work life balance. While the company in recent years has gone through tough times the outlook going forward is extremely positive. With the merger with another health plan recently there was a concern on culture shock and in general a slow down in our goals. This has been the opposite in my opinion and not the same as previous mergers.

    Cons

Health Insurance is difficult so we do not always get it right.

    Pros

Professional atmosphere, encouraged and recognized talent, work very interesting.

    Cons

Seemed like other units just passed problems onto the fraud unit when they did not know how to handle a situation/problem.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

Co-workers were great. Excellent pay and benefits.

    Cons

Management always in useless, time consuming meetings and also socialized while the rest of us busted our butts. Company is not family friendly especially when your kids are sick.

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting time in constant meetings and have more communication with the ones that are actually on the phone and be more involved and help out on the phone instead of micromanaging.

I worked at MVP Health Care (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Until toward the end, my manager provided many opportunities to contribute to and advance the goals of the company.

    Cons

Because of senior management issues, people started to leave. My manage was one of them. I had an accommodation to allow me to work in spite of my disability. Once my manage left, they ignored that accommodation and did their best to make my job there intolerable. I persisted, taking what they dished out. They finally let me go. No two week notice, no severance payment.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your act and don't violate the ADA when it comes to disabled employees.

    Pros

The environment culturally diverse. Great location.

    Cons

Although the environment culturally diverse, its segregated. Not enough proper training. Resources and tools unavailable, which does not allow employee to work independently. Open door policy does not exist, its considered complaining. The culture allows senior employees to justify inappropriate work habits. e.g. I can wear my Bluetooth cause they know I'm not on the phone during calls.

    Advice to Management

Out with the old. In with the new.
