I have been working at MVP Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy cash, tips daily, decent pay. Now there's overtime and full time employees can enroll in benefit packages.

    Cons

The company is very short staffed at almost every account, making it overwhelming to work sometimes

    Advice to Management

Screen applicants more before hiring to avoid the people who will be phased out quickly anyway.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at MVP Services part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I make good tips.
Management treats you well if you work hard.
They provide flexible hours which is especially good because I'm currently a student.
Meet a lot of new people, also work with cool people.

    Cons

    Work outside.
    Great job, NOT a career.
Sometimes you have to deal with rude customers.
It's a tip job, so most of the time you'll make good money, but sometimes you'll also have bad nights/days.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring people who do not know how to park cars.

  3. "Tips can be good depending on the account/location. Hourly is terrible."

I have been working at MVP Services part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Tips can be good at certain locations. Tenure, experience, and overall performance can dictate where you're scheduled. They're always hiring. Quick response to applications.

    Cons

The company charges you for your uniform. They take out an "Administrative Tax" on your hourly. (Basically takes away $1/hr from you and goes into the company's account.) They also claim some of your tips on your taxes. My paycheck was 1/2 of what I grossed. You have to run a lot in order to make a good amount of tips.(The average tip is bad because the customer is charged a fee to park.)

    Advice to Management

Higher wages will cause less turnover. Don't automatically make valets claim their tips. Leave that up to the valet's discretion if possible.

I have been working at MVP Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, good pay, earn cash nightly, work among friends, quarterly company parties with raffles!! You get to work with different people and in different locations all the time if you work at special events, it is really fun. You get to drive really cool cars. Awesome employee referral program, sometimes its 200 bucks for one friend to get hired!

    Cons

You wear pants in the summer. sometimes you have to leave one account to work at a different location but usually you get rewarded for that !

I worked at MVP Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Honoest company and made good money with a fun job.

    Cons

Unable to get most weekend nights off even with a lot of notice.

    Advice to Management

If nobody likes some managers there is probably a reason why. They aren't just strict.

I have been working at MVP Services part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Each quarter they have an employee party. Last party was paintball at Swings-n-Things.
We get a monthly employee newsletter that features employee and crew leader of the month - each get cash rewards.
    Co-workers are great people.
In general it's a fun job - good people watching and usually in the heart of all the action - especially downtown.
It's a great part-time/weekend job for extra cash.

    Cons

Make sure you know how to drive all different types of cars or you'll have a hard time - especially with all the different kinds of manual vehicles.

    Advice to Management

It's clear management makes an effort to appreciate staff. If you work hard and do your job well you will be rewarded - the ladder to climb is clearly defined and it's not hard to figure out what it takes to climb it.

    Pros

You get to drive all different kinds of cars and it can help you make a decision on what kind of car you want to buy. Co-workers were all cool people to be around.

    Cons

    Terrible upper management and promotions.

    Advice to Management

When you have a good worker don't treat them like they don't mean anything. they are the ones that deserve to keep their jobs, not the ones doing illegal drugs.

I have been working at MVP Services full-time

    Pros

I have worked here for a year, the task at hand is simple. Park the cars. MVP compensates you very well and they are flexible with schedules.

    Cons

The work is grueling and when there are rushes, you are expected to run non-stop.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend working with employees more and not expecting them to work past their shifts so often. Also, focus on employee retention.
