I have been working at MWH Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I admire, respect, and have an overall good time with many of the people I work with. Fairly decent work-life balance.

    Cons

The company is sink or swim. There is no on-boarding. Extremely siloed. Much of the work is redundant. Poor technology. Many egos at the upper levels. High-turnover. Poor pay equality.

    Advice to Management

Review and mentor your employees. Take the time to help them learn and grow. Come up with proper job descriptions.

"depends on who you get as your direct supervisor"

I worked at MWH Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

intelligent, knowledgeable, and passionate coworkers. chances to work on variety of projects. chances to expose to many clients and build relationship for future endeavors. many reasonable supervisory professionals...

    Cons

if you are an entry level employee, and if you are unlucky, you get a direct supervisor that is manipulative, micromanages, and asks (bullies) you to donating your time to work for free and travel at your own expense. but i guess it happens to all companies. if this happens to you, don't waste your time, plan your exist strategy right away.

    Advice to Management

I met with Alan Krause, no complain to senior management. it's easy to keep good employees: keep them engaged and well rewarded. if you fail to do this, i'm sorry, there are many more opportunities out there...
