I have been working at Macmillan Education full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some of the people are the nicest people I've ever met which makes it tolerable. Pitty most of the nice people who actually worked have actually left now

    Cons

There are many many useless people who do nothing and are still employed. Have no idea why they are still employed after all these years. Management are useless and too many want to micro manage which doesn't work well.

    Advice to Management

Stop micro managing. High staff turnover, and don't tell people it's a merger when in fact it's a takeover

I have been working at Macmillan Education full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent salary, but you can get more elsewhere if you are good. Good for nine-to-fivers. No one is required to work hard. People are generaly nice around here.

    Cons

Planning and software design is close to non existent. Results are obviously half baked solutions. Project execution is about surviving from sprint to sprint Doing Scrum means being Agile mentality enriched with contracting Scrum masters who care about doing Scrum but not much about Project Operations team is major disaster. Distributed between UK and US to make them truly detached.
