    - lack of focus by senior management which leads to them and everyone else in the business prioritising everything simultaneously. This results in significant burn out and is evidenced by the high staff turnover. - senior management refusing to address the above as commonly accepted "they work you hard". - lack of big picture vision from the top as its run as a small family business, something that is used as an excuse for the overall poor management and culture. - significant lack of gender diversity in leadership roles,

    Ability to shine as an individual, access to new technologies . Great place to be a non manager

    Politically toxic at senior levels, senior management team is a Brady bunch of back-slappeds Everyone butters the chairman/owner

    I have been working at Macquarie Telecom Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    None that I can think of. Twenty words are the bare minimum so I am adding lines to this....

    Cons

    Rude, offensive people around. Lots of politics and gossips that has no values in improving the business. and of course, bad middle management who doesnt have in-depth knowledge, yet again treat people-under by loading up with unnecessary and meaningless work to show the 'power' over. Bad processes with inefficiencies, which senior management wants to change, but there are many hurdles (people) who are lazy and unwilling to adapt

    I worked at Macquarie Telecom Group

    Pros

    + Nice enough office + Decent food at the monthly meetings + Some nice people (most leaving/left) + Some smart people (most leaving/left) + Decent exposure to a wide range of technologies + Incoming government contracts will ensure steady growth

    Cons

    + Senior Management seems to be all sales/finance backgrounds, next to zero technical leadership + Internal IT is a mess, everyone can install whatever they want on the network, most people run pirated software. + HR and Sales are both severely misinformed, completely lied to during employment process, 90% of what was promised was not delivered. + Frequent process change. + Passive aggressive managers on power-trips, speak to you like they own your soul or you are their child, that your employment under them is to be considered a privileged opportunity. + The company seems too focused on selling products than actually building good products. + Senior Engineers are obviously understaffed, no dedicated teams to root cause fault analysis, especially relevant for performance related issues. + Terrible knowledge management, you spend more time finding information than fixing problems. + Bonus scheme always changing, time wasted on managers/employees fudging their stats to get their bonuses than actually do their jobs. + NPS is mostly fraudulent, The general consensus is to contact "happy" customers to get NPS scores rather than make it easy for all customers to submit NPS scores.

    Pros

    Good line manager, working with some smart and talented people in the field. Exposure to a number of technologies and various vendors.

    Cons

    Senior management was sales driven and externally focussed, without attention to inner workings of company. Middle management scramble to impress, time not spent improving processes. No training, zero focus on lower level employees. Absolutely no leading from the front or empowering of lower level employees. Very inconsistent service sold vs service provided introducing dishonesty.
