    Pros

    The discount is probably the best benefit. It was a fun enviorment if you got along with coworkers.

    Cons

    During my time with Macy's I had three different managers, and in between those times, there were temporary managers taking shifts.

    The flexibility of the scheduling

    Cons

    Customers take total advantage of "the customer is always right" statement. Management will ALWAYS take the customers complaint and disregard the actual true situation. It's costing "Macy's" a lot of money

    Advice to Management

    Stop honoring coupons that are expired and Start listening to your employees over the customers. The customer is trying to save a buck and will do anything to save it. The employee has a certain about of loyalty to the company and won't allow a customer to take advantage of the policies & procedures of the company

    management was great, I loved the fact I was always busy, I worked early mornings so I was off by 3pm

    Cons

    Low hours, We would be un schedule then they would take us off cause hour budget

    Advice to Management

    They should work together better, rather than solo.

    Pros

    It was my first job so I was very excited to be working in general.
    They had fun activities and I got to model for their back to school fashion show.
    Meeting new coworkers.

    Cons

    Horrible scheduling.
    Didn't utilize each team member in the most efficient way which left us all frustrated and wondering when we would get hours.

    Advice to Management

    Become more structured and only hire people you plan on giving consistent hours. It doesn't make sense to have someone on a team that only received 8 hours a week. That is just a joke.

    Pros

    The people I worked with were great. There were some managers who tried very hard to do their jobs effectively. The discount was good as well.

    Cons

    Most of the time management couldn't give out correct information or had no knowledge. They would say they would look into it but never get back to you. Customers were sometimes very rude & dishonest. The raises were minimum.

    Advice to Management

    Treat the employees better. Get managers who can be motivating & encouraging.

    Pros

    When its time for you to clock out, managers make sure you clock out on time. No matter what.
    Opportunities to meet customers from all over the world.

    Cons

    Schedule constantly changes without notice
    The managers are the plastic girls from high school; its impossible to communicate with them unless you're part of the plastic crew
    EXTREME emphasis on credit apps and sales goals

    Advice to Management

    Every manager needs to be fired, and people with human hearts need to take their places.
