    I worked at Macy's full-time for more than a year


    Decent environment for employees. A lot of boomers as employees. Minor pay raise. Good employee discount. Nice clothing. Has a Relaxed atmosphere for a Standing Only company.


    Lack of real management. The carrots are minis - there no real incentive to go the extra inch. Lip service to employee participation. And awful scheduling designed to discourage family life.

    Advice to Management

    Employ professional sales management who coach staff to want to do better rather than scold because of targets not within reach. Localize the marketing. Fix the lighting.
