    I worked at Macy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

30% Discounts at Macys and Bloomingdales.

    Cons

Low hours at my location issues with payroll once again at my location

    Advice to Management

More hours for part time employees, I know budgets are a factor but asking someone to come in for 7 hours (which was my case) is somewhat insulting if it's not initially agreed on

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hour long lunches plus an extra half hour break if you work 7 hours a day. Great benefits, paid time off, convenient online schedule system and they are lenient with attendance.

    Cons

The managers seem to work against you, they don't want you to do better and to go up in the company. The pay could be a little better as well.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees more, try and understand them before thinking they're just giving you an attitude or that they don't like the job.

I have been working at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Schedules are very flexible. You get to pick up open shifts, advertise the shifts you can't work or request someone to cover for you online.

    Cons

The company doesn't really care about its employees.

    Advice to Management

Compensate employees for their hard work

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working overnight was great. If you don't want to be stressed with customers, overnight is the way to go. The store is empty. Just make sure you stay within areas you are supposed to be in.

    Cons

If you have a problem with your manager, your pay or any other issues HR is not very helpful.
They mainly want to direct you to call OH or The Work Number. Don't join the union. They do nothing for you.

    Advice to Management

As long as the employees are doing their jobs there is no need to hover over them. Some red badges are not deserving when you can stand around and watch your employees overwork themselves to make you look good.
