I have been working at Macy's part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

make friends that'll last a lifetime with other associates.

    Cons

Management is horrible, they all share the same brain. We slave while the upper management and ceo reaps the benefits.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Macy's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pro was that I have a job and some nie people I met at work.

    Cons

    The hours suck.

You could be scheduled to finish a shift at midnight and expected to come the next day at 8 am. Which depending on where you live, what you do when you get home... you might not be able to get home, eat, sleep or shower. Instead you will leave to literally maybe change clothes then come back to work.
The pay is very low for whathave to do.
Managers micromanage as if we are kids and don’t know what we are doing.

I wish the pro was constructive, like better pay, or better hours. But nah. The things that matter don’t

    Advice to Management

I don’t think they care enough for me to give advice

    I worked at Macy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The online system is good for maintaining work hours and picking up shift

    Cons

The managers have favorite and if your not one of the favorite, they will make you do all the work , harass you and treat you like garage. they don't want you to have a personal life or go to school.

    Advice to Management

do you job and stop trying to make a social life at work

    Pros

    a few of my coworkers

    Cons

we get treated like the gum on the bottom of your shoe. we have to walk back and forth over 100 times a day to a dusty stockroom that looks like asbestos is near. we only have a few associates so the managers expect us to work double time by ourselves mostly and do stock work. it's pretty horrible the working conditions. they won't hire anymore people for our area and many have quit. it's stressful and to top it off we do more than anyone and we GET NO RAISES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

we want raises like everyone else because we do more work, and we want better working conditions.
