I have been working at Macy's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The schedule is flexible. It’s a twenty word minimum for the pros section, but unfortunately I really have no other pros.

    Cons

Was literally bullied and harassed beyond belief at this job. I worked as a cosmetic counter manager and I can definitely say this is the worst job I have ever had. The management was extremely cruel and unsupportive. No encouragement, just critiques. Coworkers were bullies. Macy’s doesn’t care about their employees. You don’t get sick pay, vacation, or holiday pay for the first 6 months. Horrible job.
All I can say is, STAY AWAY.

    Pros

    Discount
    Scheduling software
    Building clientele
The other employees were super nice
    Commission was a fun bonus
There is nothing more I can say

    Cons

    Macy’s customers
    Management
    Selling credit cards
    Poor pay
    Terrible hours
    All the sales
    Out of touch management
    Poor benefits
    The points system
    I could go on

    Advice to Management

Be more respectful and appreciative of your own employees. The store shouldn’t only be focused on selling credit cards to customers.

I have been working at Macy's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

sales commission, salary per hour, flexible schedules, holiday pay, benefits.

    Cons

very competitive environment, can not grow if you don't gossip about your coworkers, you have to be the informant of everything than happen so you can have a better appreciation with the sales managers, elicit negotiations, and some managers do that undercover, like opening credit cards with phone numbers, or opening them several times with the sabe social security.

    Advice to Management

they have to be more honesta at the time to give recognition, don't do legal things to make your numbers, that doesn't make you a leader, it makes you thief.
