I have been working at Macy's full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

401k matching, decent salary, great people, challenging work.

    Cons

Salary managers can work upwards of 100 hours a week if there’s a visit. High level executives play favorites when it comes to promotions. Hourly colleagues do not get good pay.

I worked at Macy's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

They are great for college students because you can choose the days you want to work so long as its available. Or let them know the days you are unavailable ahead of time for when they schedule you if you weren't able to pick your own days. The break times are great too. The system is easy to follow for breaks and logging in your hours. Your coworkers will help you out if you are new and feel lost. The coworkers are very friendly. This was a seasonal position so you are paid hourly and not commission.

    Cons

You are on your feet a lot and it can get very busy so sometimes you have to skip a break and are late to lunch. You get moved around to areas a lot even if you do not know the area yet.
