Employee discount is decent. The co-workers and management are pleasant to work with.
Since it is a retail industry. salary is below market. It has always been and it will continue to be. The holiday season is the toughest time for the employees. departments are understaffed. When someone calls out for their shifts, it is a huge inconvenience for the rest of the team.
There were very flexible with schedules which help when you are balanceing work/life issues. They did a lot of promoting within the company.
They are continually in a process of change so it makes it hard to be consistent with employees because the policies and procedures are changing on what seems like a daily basis.
Advice to Management
Take some time to really talk to your associates and get a good feeling of what the employee moral is. Your associates want to feel like they are important and they matter to you.
