    I worked at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Major discounts on Clinique items around the holidays (i.e. easy, cheap default gifts for everyone. Relaxed dress code.

    Cons

Infighting between the managers. Absolute obliviousness from Corporate. For example: sending us 30 pairs of bright orange jeans for $50 each, clearing out swimsuits in August during one of the hottest years in CA history, and charging us with the literally impossible task of adding hundreds of new items every week when everysingle rack, shelf, and backstock room was already full to capacity.

    Advice to Management

If you're gonna advertise one of the "biggest sales of the season," don't rely on a skeleton crew and have just one cashier on the entire second floor.
