    I worked at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved the ladies I worked with, and I received a lot of gratis from working in the cosmetics department

    Cons

Training was nill, my boss was a jerk, you get no praise for when you go above and beyond your job duties, and you can tell that corporate does not care at all about their employees. What really made me mad was that they are now open thanksgiving night. That is RIDICULOUS! I guarantee the president gets to stay at home and enjoy his holiday with his family while he forces his employees to work. I wasnt even able to have Thanksgiving dinner with my family last year. Oh and not to mention, they made us all work 10 hour shifts! So not right.

    Advice to Management

Care a little about your employees every once in a while

    I worked at Macy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Being able to be a flex part-time associate, meaning I was able to choose my own hours for the week, was very helpful and convenient.
-The working environment is very welcoming and enjoyable. All of the other associates were sociable and personable.
-Also, not having a set uniform, being able to wear my own clothes and feel comfortable while at work.

    Cons

-It's a big store, so not knowing everyone that works there, unless I took the effort to.
